About Joseph Byrne

Joe's decades of processor design, marketing, and analysis underpin his insights.

As a marketing professional, engineer, or investor, you already have a lot of information from public sources and direct experience. I offer the opportunity for you to supplement what you already know with my additional knowledge and unique insights derived from my relationships and experiences in industry and as an analyst.

What I Offer

One of my key skills is communicating complex topics to a variety of audiences: marketers, PR professionals, C-level executives, the financial community, and the press. I bring this skill to my one-on-one briefings, conference presentations, marketing-pitch reviews, and content development.

But, an analyst and consultant should listen more than talk.

Before speaking my mind, I take the time to understand your requirements, listening to your needs. I respect that you’ve already wrestled with the challenges you bring to me and see my ideas as additive to yours, not a replacement. Your experience as a marketing professional, engineer, or investor gives you information that I don’t have. My role is to supplement what you already know with knowledge and unique insights derived from my relationships and experiences in industry and as an analyst.

To stay informed, I comb the tech press daily, interact with conference participants and attendees, and talk to your peers, fellow travelers, customers, and customers’ customers. I’m also available for interview-based research projects to gather information specific to your needs.

Find Me Online

I engage online with the processor community through two websites. XPU.pub is where I published insights on hot processor-related topics. I urge you to visit frequently or—better—sign up for weekly alerts to have the newest notes sent to you. XPU.news is a forum formatted like Hacker News where people can discuss XPU.pub posts, other stories, and submit content.

Let’s Collaborate

Whether your focus is system design, low-level software, or chip design, and whether your interest is microprocessors, GPUs, AI acceleration, or other processor technology, I offer insights to help you see computing’s future. Please contact me to discuss how we can collaborate.

What’s in a Name?

To convey that I operate at the intersection of business and technology, I synthesized Xampata—a word inspired by the Sanskrit à€žà€‚à€Źà€Šà„à€§à€ƒ (“sambaddhah”).
